The `certificates.<name>.cert` setting described under
[Certificates]({{< relref "repositories#certificates" >}}) configures package repositories, not Git repositories.
If you enable `system-git-client` and your Git server uses a private certificate authority, configure
certificate trust in Git itself. Git's [`http.sslCAInfo`](https://git-scm.com/docs/git-config#Documentation/git-config.txt-httpsslCAInfo)
setting specifies a CA certificate bundle. Configuring a certificate for a Poetry package source does
not configure the system Git client's HTTPS connection.
