feat: paint pane images as half-block cells for clients without kitty graphics - #5739
When several clients share a session, a pane image only shows up on clients whose outer terminal speaks Kitty graphics. A client behind Mosh sees blank space where the image sits, and Terminal.app prints Herdr's Kitty escapes as text (#5295). The pane app can't fix this: one pane serves every attached client, so it can only pick one output for all of them.
This PR lets each client choose. Terminals that can show Kitty images keep getting real pixels. The others get the same image painted as colored half-block cells (▀/▄ with 24-bit foreground and background, two pixels per cell), so every attached client sees it.
How it works
Probe. The client adds a Kitty graphics query (a=q,i=31) to its existing startup probe, before the DA1 request that already fences it. Terminals answer in order, so OK before DA1 means Kitty graphics, and DA1 with no reply or an error reply means none. If DA1 never arrives, or no probe runs (native Windows has no host probe yet), the client keeps today's Kitty output. The probe goes out after the alternate screen is entered, so a terminal that prints unknown APC payloads loses that text under the first frame.
Mode.GraphicsMode { Off, Kitty, Cells } replaces the client's kitty_graphics_enabled flag. Only Kitty lets Kitty escapes reach the host terminal, and direct file transport now also requires it.
Cells.src/kitty_graphics/cells.rs rasterizes each visible placement from the client's existing image scene, using the same clipped geometry and occlusion pieces as the Kitty path, so popups still crop images and pixel offsets line up. Each half cell averages up to 8×8 source samples with straight alpha; a mostly transparent half cell keeps the text background. PNG assets are decoded once per asset. Rasters are cached per asset and geometry (at most 256 entries, pruned with the scene), so a frame with unchanged images only copies cached cells.
Server. Unchanged. It still parses and stores each image once; the choice happens per client.
terminal.kitty_graphics = false still turns off image output entirely, now including cells. configuration.mdx describes the per-client behavior.
just bench-render-scale: 1.01×. Kitty clients take the same path as before; only cell clients do new work.
New unit tests cover probe parsing (OK, EINVAL, DA1 only, no DA1, replies split across reads), the probe-to-mode mapping, rasterization (alpha, odd image heights, RGB and PNG sources, clipped sources, pixel offsets), and painting clipped to the frame.
Live, with the debug build: one disposable session with three clients attached at once. One pty answered the probe like kitty, one answered only DA1, and one was a real Mosh 1.4.0 client. A pane drew a 16×16 image (red top, blue bottom) as an 8×2 cell placement. The kitty client received one transmit and one placement. The DA1-only and Mosh clients received 16 ▀ cells in the image's colors and no Kitty escapes. After the probe change for unprobed hosts, I reran the kitty and DA1-only clients with the same result.
Not run locally: the Windows cross-compile stage of just check, because this machine doesn't have the Windows SDK set up. CI's Windows jobs cover it.
… graphics
Each client now asks its outer terminal for Kitty graphics support in the
DA1-fenced startup probe. Terminals that answer keep receiving Kitty
escapes. Terminals that answer DA1 without a graphics reply, such as Mosh,
Terminal.app, and tmux without passthrough, receive each visible pane image
painted into the text frame as 24-bit half-block cells instead, cropped by
the same placement geometry and overlays as the Kitty path. Hosts that are
never probed or never answer keep the previous Kitty output.

The client now probes host Kitty graphics support and selects Off, Kitty, or Cells mode. In Cells mode, image data is rasterized into colored half-block cells; in Kitty mode, the client continues to encode and forward Kitty graphics. The selected mode also controls graphics-related client output and cleanup. The configuration documentation describes these rendering modes and how to disable them.

Cell clients now paint overlapping placements in z order like Kitty hosts,
fill only the missing half of a cell another image already half covers, and
check a PNG header against its key and a 64 MiB RGBA budget before
allocating the decode buffer.
Both reviews ran on 9b6df2a. 2f67c85 addresses the three threads they opened: it stacks cell images by z, keeps earlier half-block colors, and bounds PNG decodes. Re-running both on the final head.
