Combines the open Dependabot PRs into one and makes the majors work. Also fixes the Keycloak 26.8.2 break that has made E2E red on every PR since Nov 6.
NuGet group (AWSSDK.S3, TUnit, OpenTelemetry patches)
merged as-is
Not included: #110 (Microsoft.OpenApi 2.13 → 3.11)
With 3.x the API build fails at OpenAPI generation (MissingMethodException in Swashbuckle's SwaggerGenerator). Swashbuckle 10.3.1, the latest, is still built against Microsoft.OpenApi 2.x, as the comment in the csproj already warned. I kept 2.13.0 and added a Dependabot ignore for Microsoft.OpenApi majors, so #110 can be closed. Remove the ignore once Swashbuckle depends on 3.x.
Keycloak 26.8.2
The floating keycloak:26.8 tag moved to 26.8.2 on Nov 5. 26.8.2 makes the admin REST API require tokens that carry the new kc-admin-api scope and its audience. The upgrade adds the scope only to Keycloak's own clients, so skoleoverblikket-admin got 401, and school signup and invitations returned 502.
Realm file: defines kc-admin-api the way 26.8.2 creates it and makes it a default scope of skoleoverblikket-admin.
Images: the Keycloak image and the Aspire container pin 26.8.2 by digest. Dependabot will offer the next Keycloak build as its own PR, so the E2E tests check it first.
⚠️ Production needs a one-time step after deploying: its realm isn't re-imported. Add kc-admin-api as a default client scope of skoleoverblikket-admin. The steps are in docs/DEPLOYMENT.md → Keycloak realm changes. Until then, signup and invitations fail in production. A local Aspire Keycloak with an existing realm needs the same step, or a fresh volume.
Tailwind 4 migration
Uses @tailwindcss/vite. Removed postcss.config.js, tailwind.config.js and the postcss/autoprefixer deps.
The theme (Lato/Playfair fonts, brand palette) moved to @theme in web/src/index.css.
Base styles keep three v3 defaults that v4 changed: gray-200 border color, gray-400 placeholders and a pointer cursor on buttons.
In v3, sm:text-5xl overrode a base leading-tight. In v4 the leading wins, so the marketing headings grew 12px. I pinned the line-height v3 used (sm:leading-none, sm:leading-4).
The lockfile was regenerated, because the four npm PRs conflicted with each other.
How I checked it
npm --prefix web run lint: passes (1 pre-existing info).
npm --prefix web run build (codegen, tsc, vite build, prerender): passes.
dotnet build of the API, integration tests, backup-agent and AppHost: all pass. dotnet format --verify-no-changes: clean.
Visual comparison: I built main and this branch and screenshotted 6 public pages (/, /om, /kontakt, /book-demo, /nyheder, /privatlivspolitik) at desktop and phone widths. Page sizes match exactly. The largest pixel difference is 11/255 in grey, which comes from v4's oklch palette.
Whole-app CSS check: I compared every class in v3's compiled CSS with v4's, after the renames. None are missing (the only gaps were junk tokens v3 picked up from JS, like (!visible)).
Keycloak: I checked the realm changes against the 26.8.2 source (migration, import order, mapper config keys, how the audience is derived). I couldn't run Keycloak locally, because this sandbox has no Docker. CI's E2E run is the real check.
Not run here (cloud session, no Docker): API integration tests and Playwright e2e, which CI runs. The logged-in pages were checked only through the CSS comparison above. Worth a quick look in staging: the schema builder and the SFO page.
Local note: cdn.sheetjs.com is blocked in this sandbox, so for local checks I installed xlsx@0.18.5 from npm. The committed package.json/lockfile still use the 0.20.3 CDN tarball.
… 3.x
Swashbuckle 10.3.1 is built against Microsoft.OpenApi 2.x; with 3.11.0 the build-time
spec generation fails with MissingMethodException. Ignore majors in Dependabot until
Swashbuckle moves.

The web project moves to Tailwind v4, updates its CSS and Vite configuration, and changes Tailwind utilities across components and pages. The pull request also updates GitHub Actions versions, .NET and web dependencies, and React route child types. The workflows retain the described conditions and settings, and the route guards retain their behavior.
NielsPilgaard/Skoleoverblikket#65: Adds the Dependabot configuration and Microsoft.OpenApi compatibility pin that this pull request extends.
NielsPilgaard/Skoleoverblikket#86: Updates Vite and its React plugin; this pull request adds the Tailwind Vite plugin to that build.

E2E failure: Keycloak 26.8.2 admin API audience check, fixed in 04f82c8
Symptom: every Keycloak admin call from the API returned 401 Unauthorized, so school signup and invitations returned 502.
Cause: the floating keycloak:26.8 tag moved from 26.8.1 (sha256:3f3c5f8e…) to 26.8.2 (sha256:3879c623…) on Nov 5 at 16:04. #101's E2E run (Nov 5) was the last green one and #102's (Nov 6) the first red one. 26.8.2 lists this breaking change: "Admin REST API now enforces an audience check". Tokens must carry the new built-in kc-admin-api scope and its audience, and the migration only adds that scope to admin-cli and security-admin-console. Custom service accounts like skoleoverblikket-admin get 401.
Realm file: defines kc-admin-api the way 26.8.2 creates it (one oidc-admin-api-audience-mapper) and makes it a default scope of skoleoverblikket-admin. The scope must be defined in the file: on import, Keycloak creates the built-in scope only after the clients, so a bare reference to it would be dropped.
Images: the Keycloak image and the Aspire container pin 26.8.2@sha256:3879c623…. Dependabot will offer the next Keycloak build as its own PR, so the E2E tests check it first.
Production: its realm already exists and won't be re-imported. docs/DEPLOYMENT.md → Keycloak realm changes has the one-time step (admin console or kcadm.sh). Run it right after the first deploy with 26.8.2. Until then, signup and invitations fail in production.

Unverified finding
We couldn't verify this from the code. It is shown for review, not as a verified issue.
The showcase instruction still specifies the Tailwind Play CDN but now points to index.css, whose theme uses Tailwind v4 @theme declarations. The Play CDN setup may not consume those declarations directly, so following the reference without translating the tokens could omit the brand palette and font utilities.
The showcase renders without the application's intended brand colors or fonts, making its variants misleading.
This can occur when: Someone reuses this documented showcase procedure and copies the referenced theme declarations into its self-contained CDN page.

The 26.8 tag moved between 2026-11-05 and 2026-11-06 (sha256:3f3c5f8e… →
sha256:3879c623…). On the new build the admin API answers 401 to the
skoleoverblikket-admin service account, so signup and invitations return 502
and every PR's e2e run has failed since. Production still runs the old base,
but the next Keycloak image published from main would pick up the new one.
Aspire uses the same digest.

…kc-admin-api scope
Keycloak 26.8.2 makes the admin REST API require tokens that carry the new
kc-admin-api scope and its audience, and only adds that scope to admin-cli and
security-admin-console. skoleoverblikket-admin got 401, so school signup and
invitations returned 502.
- The realm file defines kc-admin-api as 26.8.2 creates it (one
oidc-admin-api-audience-mapper) and makes it a default scope of
skoleoverblikket-admin. It has to be defined in the file: Keycloak creates the
built-in scope only after importing clients, so a bare reference is dropped.
- The Keycloak image and the Aspire container pin 26.8.2 by digest.
- DEPLOYMENT.md has the one-time step for production, whose realm is not
re-imported.

⚠️ After merging and deploying: one-time Keycloak step in production
Keycloak 26.8.2 rejects admin API calls from skoleoverblikket-admin until that client has the kc-admin-api scope. Until this is done, school signup and all invitations fail in production (502). Do it right after the deploy, once the new Keycloak is running. The scope only exists after the upgrade.
