Work is implemented and submitted upstream as input-output-hk/scrypto#118, currently open and awaiting review. Status stays in-progress until that PR merges.

Updated work_link to ergoplatform/scrypto#3.

The bounty is registered here as input-output-hk/scrypto#89, but that repository has not moved since March 2025 and its master is protected. @kushti confirmed the Ergo side now works from ergoplatform/scrypto and asked for pull requests to go there, so I rebased the change onto that fork and closed the original input-output-hk/scrypto#118.

bounty_id and original_issue_link are unchanged, since the issue itself still lives on the IOHK repo. Worth flagging for the registry: anyone picking up this bounty from the listing will aim at the wrong repository, as I did.
